Thankfully, pleasant weather makes spring the easiest time of year to make improvements and repairs to revitalize our homes.Warmer weather also encourages more foot traffic to open houses and private showings. It’s no wonder that more homes are put on the market in the spring than any other time of year. While spring can be an excellent time to sell a home, stiff competition means that they must look their best. Before determining the listing price for a property and placing it on the market, it’s important for essential property repairs, cosmetic improvements and in some cases, major renovations to take place. This will help maximize a financial return and increase the chance of it selling faster. 1. Schedule Inspections
Having air conditioning units inspected by a certified professional before turning it on for the season is not only a good safety measure, it also helps prolong the life of the unit.Gas barbeques that were not in use over the frigid months should be inspected as well.It’s also wise to make sure outdoor faucets, receptacles, and lighting are not damaged. Clean all light fixtures, and replace burnt-out bulbs with energy-saving bulbs.
2. Fix Cracks
Cracks that may have occurred in foundations, walkways, and porches during the winter months may cause further water damage if they are not repaired.
